The key factors in evaluating the presented artworks are the quality of work, creativity and aesthetics senses.

Computers must not be used in implementing any of the artworks.

All artworks must be signed by the participants.

Participation is open to all within and outside the UAE.

Presented artworks or poems must not have been already submitted in previous exhibitions or other competitions, or published inside or outside the UAE. Otherwise, the award shall be withdrawn from the winner.

Each participant may take part in all the categories provided he/she presents one artwork for each category.

Paintings that do not win will be returned to the owners within 30 days of the announcement of results. They will be handed over either by hand to the artist himself or his/her representative at the premises of the Ministry of Culture in Dubai. Participants may not be allowed to claim the painting after the above mentioned period.

The award’s management is not responsible for late arrival and/or damage of any delivered paintings or poems.

A business card must be attached to the artwork or used material stating clearly the participant’s valid passport by email to burda@mcycd.ae

For proper registration, a registration form must be completed after the announcement of the award's terms and conditions through the website www.burda.ae or in a period not less than one month before the competition.

The act of sending someone's participation whether a poem, Arabic calligraphy or Arabesque means his/her acceptance of the endorsed terms and conditions.

The jury has the right to add a prize or withhold it as they see appropriate. The participant has no right to object to that decision.

Deadline for submitting artworks is 01/10/2013. Winners will be honored during the month of Rabea Al Awal 1435 H.
